Background: Alexandre was named after his parents' favorite author, Alexandre Dumas. He'll answer to Dre or Alexandre, but never Alex or Andre. Before our series began, he went to college, didn't know what to major in. He ended up with a degree in accounting and went to work at a local credit union.
Dre's biggest weakness throughout his life is depression. He's tried therapy, meditation and medication, but nothing seems to do the trick for long. Still, he gives everything he has for his friends, family and community. Now at 30 he's wondering what life holds. What would actually make him happy in life, and how would he get it?

Dream: Start a big family
Background: Kai's parents died when he was thirteen. His aunt took him in, but always reminded him that she could give him away at any moment. Kai became desperate to please her, even if that meant shrinking parts of himself, because she would not like them. When Kai was 19 he told his aunt that he was gay. She put him out.
Since nineteen, Kai has been living alone and working as a cook. At 30 he's determined to take the next step and go to culinary school. Bad to mid restaurants will not be the end of the road for him. The problem is Kai has no money. He's been on his own since nineteen, but it's been a hard eleven years.
The one thing he wants more than culinary accolades is a family. A family like the one he feels he was robbed of. Marriage, kids and all of the things that come with it.
Daamin

Dream: Create his own MMORPG
Background: Daamin can come off as immature when people meet him. It's not really his fault. He's had Leukemia and didn't get to develop at the same pace as other kids. Most of his childhood and teenage years were spent in and out of the hospital. He's an only child but considers Dre and Kai his big brothers because he's been playing games with him for so long. Despite that, he still hasn't told them that he deals with Leukemia.
Daamin can also be seen as a spontaneous individual. More than anything, he craves excitement and the experiences he missed growing up. He never got to do sports, go to dances and things like that because he was often sick. As he's gotten older he's run into less trouble with his Leukemia but it still has to be managed with regular medications. He doesn't speak on it often, but Daamin feels as if he's a failure who's never been able to survive on his own. His income is made up of freelance graphic design work and uber. He'd love to create his own MMORPG one day. He's great with art, and even writing. He just doesn't have the technical skill to build the game. He'd like to go to school to learn how to code, but feels he may be too old. Daamin doesn’t speak much about what bothers him, because he feels as if he's always been a burden to the people who care about him due to his illness. Despite that, most people think he's a joy to have around even on his bad days.
